Jishín Karate Kai

New Dojo For 2020

Jishín has embarked on an expansion and refurbishment, which will give it an 1800 Sq.Ft. fully matted & equipped Dojo. Also included in the new format, will be 

Conference Room for training of Coaches & Officials, Fitness Studio, Sports Therapy Massage Clinic, Complimentary Therapy & Beauty Clinic, Large Lounge/Reception and Café. Studio Dojo for Private & Small Group Sessions.

In addition, a Martial Arts Shop open to the Public, which includes an Embroidery Service, Heat Press & Vehicle Signage.

Refurbishment of the New Dojo is considerable, but once completed, will be of immeasurable benefit to the Students of Jishín, Welsh Karate Kai in general & the International Athletes in particular. Photos of the work progress will be available shortly on its own page.

The Club has a large Student Body, but new Students wishing to train are always welcome. Students returning to training are always given a warm "Welcome Back". The friendly atmosphere of a "Family" environment and the comfortable surroundings of a Professional Dojo are attributes, that the Club are really proud of.

Full Membership of "Welsh Karate Kai" serves as a yardstick, for the quality & durability of Jishín. Through the assistance of the WKK, the Club, its Instructors and Members enjoy a comprehensive range of Insurance. Promotions, Competition & Courses.


The WKK enjoys complete autonomy, under the direction, guidance & experience of its Chief Instructor Paul Sc0tt (6th Dan).


Jishín Karate Club is also the Headquarters of the Welsh Karate Kai, 

currently, one of the largest & most successful Associations in Wales.


All Instructors at the Club are fully qualified Coaches. Each holding Professional Indemnity Insurance, with current First Aid Certificates. All Instructors have been through the rigorous test of an Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau Check (DBS). All Coaches regularly attend SCUK Safeguarding & Protecting Children Courses.


Paul Scott is a seasoned veteran, with more than 46 years experience in Karate. Starting his Martial Arts career in 1972 and achieving his Black Belt (Shodan) in 1983. Paul has a great knowledge of the European & World Competition Circuits. He is also a Sports Coach UK Tutor.

As Chief Instructor of Jishín Karate Kai, he is directly responsible for the Tuition & Training of high quality Karateka, yet still plays a dominant active role with Jishín Karate Clubs' Novice Students, believing the grounding of a Student plays a particular role in their later development.
